Bio

Yantong Li (b.1998, Dali, China) is a cultural organizer, researcher, artist, and curator based in Toronto, Canada. He is a Master of Visual Studies (curatorial) candidate at the University of Toronto. Li works at the intersection of global infrastructure, geopolitics, regional folklore and decolonization. His curatorial projects and collaborative works have been shown internationally, which include the Curatorial Awards at Jimei x Arles International Photography Festival, Xiamen, China (2022); Durian-Durian: the First Trans-Southeast Asia Triennial, Guangzhou, China (2023); Trinity Square Video, Toronto, Canada (2023); Sansheng Art Space, Markham, Canada (2024); The New Gallery, Calgary, Canada (2024); Jackman Humanities Institute, University of Toronto, Canada (2024). Li’s writings have appeared in Cmag and Peripheral Review. In 2023, he was the 2023 RBC X AGO Emerging Artist-Researcher in Residence at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
